I believe President Trump just cursed the team but we’ll see. Rapinoe shouldn’t be showing such disrespect to her country and employer.

The only person in this story who's disrespecting the flag, the country, and the White House is Donald J. Trump. Megan Rapinoe is what a true American should be.

Trump reaps what he sows. BUT he better not get on the wrong side of US soccer mums, (might be too late).

Who wants to go and eat cold junk food with an obese coward?

The White House is a toxic place with Trump there and quite rightly LGBTQ and people of ethnic minorities show great courage in speaking truth to power. FT!

Don’t disrespect the country?

I believe Trump has done a fine job of that already. Instead of bashing her, he should look at why so many sports franchise and players keep refusing to attend the annual White House meeting for champions.

Rapinoe shouldn’t be showing such disrespect to her country and employer.

She is doing neither. Her employer is the US Soccer Federation, not some fat infant in a posh house. Again Trump tries to associate disrespect for him for lack of love of the nation. My guess he'll be hugging flags again soon.

Will he ask his supporters to check out a non-existent sex tape not featuring her if this argument escalates?

Don’t cross Trump. He tells it like it is when having Twitter catfights.

It's an old fascist trick, accusing your political opponents of being less patriotic or, gasp, traitorous. There's a reason why he looks like Mussolini in that photo.

dissent is the greatest form of patriotism.

L’etat c’est moi. Trump seems to have lost whatever was left of his mind.

Hear hear

Public dissent is. That is how you know your democracy is strong. It can handle political conversations even when there are disagreements.

Hopefully, Megan Rapinoe only means that she won't visit the White House with the current President in office, though it would be a great chance for the entire team to make a pro-woman's political statement that the world would see and hear.

Trump seems to have lost whatever was left of his mind.

The up side of that being that it was no great loss.

And Trump was so respectful he didn't even bother to check the lady's name before he started twittering about her.

Trump initially tagged the wrong account - a Megan Rapino with only two followers - before deleting the thread and retagging the US star's actual account.

(The 'real' Megan Rapino backed the football player)

These cocky yanks are talking like they’ve already won the World Cup - now that’s disrespectful

Rapinoe shouldn’t be showing such disrespect to her country and employer.

The White House isn't the country and it doesn't employ the US Women's Soccer team. But other than that your sentence is correct.

And Trump was so respectful he didn't even bother to check the lady's name before he started twittering about her.

Not the first time he’s done this. He once sent a bitchy tweet to the wrong Theresa May after she rebuked him for retweeting videos from racists.

That video was shot way back on Jan 25th in Los Angeles, USA. It was a supplement to a magazine’s Women’s World Cup special issue that came out in May.

In the video interview, which was shot before the World Cup, Rapinoe told an Eight by Eight magazine reporter who asked if she is excited about going to the White House, “I’m not going to the f-cking White House… We’re not going to be invited.” The soccer star said she was more focused on playing well than on the opinion of her president. “We just expect to win every single game,” she said of the upcoming Women’s World Cup, quickly changing the subject.

This little disrespectful ungrateful soccer player should not be allowed on the team.

she does not honor the Country that she is representing, The United States of America

I think maybe Iran would be a better place for her

She honors the country by playing well and thus representing the country well to the world

But the Office of the President is different

She’s not disrespecting the country; she’s disrespecting YOU!
