U.S. beats Netherlands 11-0 at softball worlds

Bertie, women's fast-pitch software is hugely popular in America and has been for at least 50 yrs. All my sisters played through high school. It was more popular than Women's basketball which was still popular.

It is also common for corporations to have an employee slow-pitch softball league, coed. I played for a few years on a department team before being knocked out while playing and losing some teeth. I stopped playing. ;) The company had about 20 teams for the 2200 person site. I was on a "just for fun"/beer team, not even in the competitive league. The company's best team would play against all the other corporate sponsored teams in the area.

Nice comment. It prevented me posting something stupidly cynical. Thanks. It also reminded me of some inter-company games I played in Osaka in the not-so-near past. It was always a great day out with the family.

Well, that must have been pretty exciting.
