Those who continually harp about the efficacy of vaccines, falsely claiming that being infected offers more protection are not just absurdist, but completely delusional. Djokovic, has been twice (at a minimum) infected with SARSCoV-2. Which punctures that claim - let alone the voluminous studies and research that prove the effectiveness of vaccines.

55 times better protection for the prior infected compared to 20 times for recently vaxxed. And longer lasting protection as well. Says it all. But we both know its not about the science.

That is the consequence of making terribly bad decisions trying to sidestep a measure with dubious proof of infection. People that do shady things are looked at more carefully, also doing blood tests to professional athletes is nothing new and a fake vaccination is not harmless it not only promotes fraud, it also increase the risk for everybody else the unvaccinated comes in contact with.

This appeal to authority works for the vaccines and not against it, because the organizations of professionals that have in mind the health of professional athletes have said there is no truth on the baseless reports of serious adverse effects. It is the same as the scientific and medical consensus that says vaccines are effective and safe and that anybody included in the groups to be vaccinated benefit from it.

Being rational and choosing not to increase the risk for others because of personal beliefs that can be proved false is a reason much more adequate to respect someone, even if this is something extremely common that most people are already doing.
