Not having seen the incident I cannot comment on that, but the gloves-off rivalry between these two young stars is exciting. Their clashes this year have already changed the interpretations of the rules, and the inner dynamics of F1.

In an attempt to get back the position he was about to lose to Verstappen, Leclerc didn't take into account the understeer that was generated due to lack of grip with cool tyres. Totally avoidable incident.

I do wonder what the stewards were thinking though, maybe fanboi'ing too much and didn't want to hurt Ferrari's feelings during the race itself and took the spineless decision to wait until after it was finished.

Just had a quick look at it. This is the third time these guys have come together this year, so my immediate reaction would be, racing incident. What you say about position, pressure and cold tyres though may well be spot on, Para Sitius. Rookie mistake, perhaps, as too not coming into the pits with his front wing dragging. The stewards certainly would not enjoy burning their fingers on a red hot Ferrari!
