It is unbelievable they did not give Moore a chance to pitch a no hitter. I believe his pitch count was still in the 90's at the end of the 7th. His curveball was sharp and he worked his way through the middle of the lineup.
This is something that had never been done before (complete game no hitter in the Japan series). They could have let him start the 8th and if he got into trouble went to the pen.

@T-E, that would have been cool but managers must be adhering to unwritten rules about not making rivals look awful when ahead by as much as the Hawks are in this series. Check the deep bow by the Hawks manager Kudo to the older skipper Hara before game one--manners carefully being followed. They are all working for the same outfit ultimately and are not going to show each other up.

The Giants look like a team that only won 2 of its last 6 regular season games, and only played one game (and scored only one run) over a ten-day stretch before this series began. They simply lost their game focus. Meanwhile, SoftBank had a climax series and had to play competitive baseball (coming from behind) against Lotte - that allowed them to keep their mental and competitive edge. Central League executives were fools to skip a climax series. Don't do that again!
