Just irresponsible behaviour on Marines side for deciding to play tonight's game regardless the well known 2 week quarantine. If they don't give a darn about the rules how can you expect the average Tanaka to follow the guidelines?

If this game results in more infections they will do the usual bow and promise to be stricter in their policies to prevent a recurrence and it will all be forgotten

Why is it irresponsible? They brought in players from the Farm team. All of them whom tested negative and had no exposure.

Is Biden in Quarantine?

NOPE.

Having 11 of those daily 500 cases nationwide. And they don’t even take - most likely - morning packed trains + do not work in closed, crowded, poorly ventilated offices.

What are the odds? You really have to be “very unlucky“, if you know what I mean...

Bad luck to the Marines. Being in the title race and all. Also, once these 11 have recovered (if), their play will probably be pretty sub-par.

I think it's pretty easy for baseball players to infect each other. They're always in close proximity in the dugout, on bases, locker room, and hallways and they touch a lot of the same equipment - bats and balls.

"Bats and balls"...

Heh, heh; I see what you did there, Speed...!

First, the last regularly scheduled test was September 26th. Two players were reported positive on Sunday, so the tests were probably taken on Friday October 2nd. As a result of the positive test result on Sunday to Iwashita, they tested everyone. If the last regularly scheduled tests occurred on Saturday the 26th, what led to the Friday tests for Iwashita and the staff member? And this also means there were no regularly scheduled tests for 8 days (from the 26th to Sunday October 4th), and there wouldn't have been any tests at all of the first team on Sunday if it hadn't been for Iwashita's positive test.

How in the world can Director Iguchi say they were "undertaking the latest countermeasures"? Eight or more days between regularly scheduled tests for players living close together and traveling together to Sapporo is NOT a countermeasure at all! They need to be testing them every day or every other day. They are getting complacent!

If I was a Giants fan, I'd be worried about losing half the team during the nippon series.

Wonder, if they'll play or postpone?
