I'm sick of this iodiotic crap.

Yeah, I get that..."MONEY!" but still. This has a corrosive effect on things like civic pride. How are the locals supposed to get enthusiastic about supporting a baseball team that is constantly changing its name with a revolving door of corporate sponsors (the Nankai Hawks, then the Daiei Hawks, then the Softbank Hawks...) in a stadium that is constantly changing its name based on a revolving door of corporate sponsors (Yahoo Auction Dome, Paypay Dome, etc).

Hey how about if we just call them the Fukuoka Hawks and call the Dome they play in, paid for with public money, the Fukuoka Dome? So you know, then people in Fukuoka might feel some actual pride in the team?

Gave you an upvote but I disagree. Just feel like PayPay sounds too much like an association just taking too much money and nothing else... and I can imagine there are going to be lots of visitors from abroad making stupid jokes... kind of like the situation they had with Kinki University who changed the name because of the jokes. Don't know what at this time but I'm sure there'll be those. That said, I guess that happens with everything.

Works for me. Sounds like Pepe, and gets rid of that long and silly name with the inappropriate exclamation mark at the end. I think this is the 4th name change, so no big deal.
