Good to see that the US is taking things more seriously this time. Hope for a better performance with the inclusion of Pedroia and Youk.

The whole WBC was an embarrassment, from Ichiro's racial outbursts, to some teams' performances, for the rules that allowed Japan to win the whole thing after a record of 1 and 2 with the same team.

I meant to finish that in saying that I hope the rules have improved this time around. There's a reason sports tournaments like this are not welcome in the next olympics, besides the lack of world-wide popularity. Anyway, I hope the Americans put up more of a fight this time, too.

I hope Japan repeats, defeating the prima donnas on the US team.

I'd rather just have the same bunch of arrogant clowns as usual.

I hope US beats the crap out of Japan and any country that gets on its way.

They had better start training soon. These Japanese salarymen...I mean baseball players are already hard at it.

Nothing more than America bashing here. First, the Americans were hardly embarrased... they beat Japan didn't they ? The only thing affecting team USA then will be the same thing affecting them in the next tournement... Pro contracts ! The Americans will once again be saddled by the "don't you dare get hurt" bug hanging over their shoulders at every game. Other nations like Japan, Korea, Cuba will once again send players trying to secure MLB contracts... those teams are obviously the favorites ! Sorry, this is old news and everyone knows it... 'cept maybe the Japanese.
