Simply the best race in months, if not years.

Max was lucky to get away with that undertaking and bouncing Leclerc off, but his driving was superb otherwise. Sad for Leclerc but his day will surely come around.

Agreed, that was a lot of fun. Max was truly Mad. Not sure how Pierre Gasly can justify his existence after being lapped by his teammate.

True, but I will avoid the 'That was ghastly!' joke. Poor Pierre, he did seem to have lack of power problems throughout practice and qualifications.

Here I have just been down to the local Honda dealership where they used to look after my car. They looked busy, so I just said 'Congratulations!" and let them all know how much I had enjoyed watching a Honda engine finally catch and leapfrog Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari!

Did they know what you were talking about? I'd have imagined that your common-or-garden Honda grunt wouldn't have any clue about their participation in F1. Nice touch though.

ClippetyClop, no problem. I used to chat with Mr Y there and we often discussed Honda's F1 engine participation. Not been there for a couple of years though, since we sold the 2-seater Insight. He recognized me at once, offered me iced coffee, and accompanied me out to my car, bowing. The ladies behind the counter also gave me a row of sweet smiles.

Really I wanted to apologize for McLaren's lack of faith in Honda, but Red Bull made the gamble and the switch, and they have struck gold!

Meh...   MotoGP on its worst day is waaaaay more exciting than F1 on its best day.

‘Simply the best race in months, if not years’

totally agree - years I’d say

It says about about the abysmal current state of F1 that this race is considered the most exciting in years. Sad.
