What I feel is not pressure. But I feel the expectation from a lot of people

Actually, that is pressure.

Thanks for your efforts Takanashi-san. Looking forward to seeing you jump in the coming competitions.

The media put way too much pressure on her to win gold at these games. Felt bad for her.

What puzzles me is that I thought she was a shoo-in for the gold medal. That's what the Japanese media has been telling me these past few weeks.

Well the media thinks that being ranked #1 or winning at the world championships makes you guaranteed to win. They don't realize that other competitors give the Olympics a higher priority and train harder.

I have said this many times, but winning the Worlds in an Olympic year means diddly squat. Most of the top competitors are using the time for conditioning and tuning up for the Olympics. Male Japanese jumpers saying "she has a 100% chance to win gold" and one even saying "500% chance" (?) does not help her. Don't get me wrong, I was rooting for her all the way, but the Japanese media just set her up for failure. BTW, I wonder what her home town did with the fireworks there we planning to set off a 2:30 in the morning?

she had won by less than a point.

Vogt finished with 247.4 points, just ahead of Iraschko-Stolz on 246.2.

247.4-246.2=1.2

She's young - she'll have other chances.

The J-media as usual with their usual naivety and inability to learn from the past or show some Respect to the other jumper had already given The impression Sara. Chan would just turn up and collect the gold, hope they are enjoying the number the worst offender matsoka shuzo always make it look like the athlete he reports on is a work beater The hype and expectation has shifted to Nordic skii unforunately The Japanese Nordic combined skier especially the dude called Watari is sounding very arrogant .
