Semi-finals is a fine result in a Slam, including an impressive win over #2 Murray, so well done to him for getting to that point. But he's going to need to break through and take a title one of these days...

Well done to Stan for his run to the final, and well done to Nishikori for making it this far and a decent match of the semi.

Bring on the rest of the season!

Kei still cant break that Ozeki ranking

Disappointing for some, not surprising for any. I'd like to say someday he'll get it, but...

Well played to Stanley, I hope he gives the Djoker a run for his money in the final. Young Kei is getting closer and closer each time to nabbing a major title, but yes, it is disappointing. He looked to be struggling in the hot and humid conditions, which was a surprise as I wouldve thought as a Japanese he would revel in it, compared to a swissman!

I've a feeling 2017 will be the year of Nishikori!

BurakuminDes: "I've a feeling 2017 will be the year of Nishikori!"

The catch-phrase since 2014.

Lol, like clockwork the Nishikori bashers come out from under their rocks. Beating the world no 2 is not enough, the number 3 and number 1 must all be defeated or they will put the knife in. 'Get a life'?

Excellent showing by Nishikori here. He thoroughly deserves the jump back up the ranks that he'll get on Monday.

Amen, fxgai ! Otsukaresama, Kei-san !

For a player with no serve, kei punches above his weight. Murray was very poor the other day and he can't rely on that. Kei reminds me of players like henman, no serve but excellent everywhere else. Sadly i can't see him ever winning a slam as this stand.

Nishikori have done tremendous work and play his best and yet what all these critics are doing? best way to silence the critics is to win a major, sadly Kei has only come close on one occassion, and continue to fail at the business end of the majors. You can only be considered a great tennis player if you can win two or more majors, second major proves the first wasnt a fluke.

nishikori clearly was not near Wawrinka's level, I wonder if he will ever be. Being a Nishikori fan is hard, when he plays so inconsistently.

Stan Wawrinka has powerful backhand return and good services. He is danger than Murray. I think Stan will beat Djokovic in final.

Nishikori was clearly dominating the first set, and had he converted on many break points in the second set he could have gone up 2 sets to love and probably would have found a way to win.
