I watched a part of the first and second sets, Daniel played great, pushed Murray hard, and Murray's game fell apart. Daniel moved very well and kept his cool in the long rallies with Murray (the ultimate pusher), thanks to his training in Spain I would say, but also played aggressive enough to break Murray's rhythm. He is outside top 100 now, but he has one victory against Djoko and one against Murray!

Congrats to Taro. He's always been a more than capable player. With his frame and athleticism it's a surprise he's never made it further in the Big Ones more often. He
Watched the highlights and Murray is certainly not the Murray of old. At 35 years and numerous operations - back & hips - defeating him now is not the same, and ranks about the same as Taro. And Taro's got at least 7 years on him
Although he beat Nadal recently one can expect inconsistent shows from him - and that's fair enough at his age/stage.
Perhaps Taro can ride this wave and progress.
Fighto!
Go Taro! Brilliant result!
Hoping he can make a run very deep into week 2. He sure does have the talent. Things looking great in Japanese tennis!
