As I am in Brazil I can say that you guys are overreacting to everything with your silly comments.

So you have some super-secret Brazil-only news that we are not privy to? Or you are in Neymar's inner circle?

Neymar has been a target for hits throughout the tournament. He was playing the game with Germany with leg injuries ... and watching the vital play in the 88th minute in today's game on TV, he really got hit hard in the back. Looks like Zuniga not only ran into Neymar from the back, but that elbpw blow seemed to have had a little extra oomph on it.

It's tough being a talented star in this game as there are guys who seem to want to slow them down or take them out completely no matter what.

Anyway ... so far it's been an exciting tournament ... and expect to see more top-quality football (soccer) ahead ...

Tell that to James Rodriguez...

Tripping, biting, knees to the back.... At the World Cup, it would seem the players behave worse than do their supporters in the stands.

They do. Some of them are really vicious - and sneaky. Fighting for one's country. It's a real war, only without fire arms.

Zuniga better already be on the plane to Bogota.

The last 25 minutes of the game no doubt got out of control. The refs could have done a better job. So sorry to see Neymar out of the World Cup with Brazil still in it. What is equally a loss--not in terms of skill, but in terms of leadership--will be the absence of Thiago Silva, the captain who is also the glue that keeps them all together. Get well Neymar!

Neymar has been such an important part of the Brazilian team. They're still a very talented team even without Neymar, but such a loss will certainly have consequences.

The last time Brazil played with Germany was 2002. Neymar was only 10 yrs old back then. In 2014, Brazil and Germany have not played any single game yet. They will play at semi final.

Golden boot belong to James Rodriguez who scored six goals. He scored goal for his team every match. The worst offender of foul is from Luis of Brazil who shot the second goal. Suprisingly no punsihment on him. That referee should be retired due to his poor eyes sight.

The challenge was absolutely shocking - a knee to the small of the back can have long term consequences. I do not know if it was deliberate, but cannot see what it could be as he was approaching Neymar from behind.

Brazil do not look that strong now. Only David Luiz is really standing out for me. Oscar has been quiet and Fred has not really turned up.

Going over this article a day later, I discovered I mistakenly wrote an "elbow to the back". Actually, it was a knee. Neymar was kneed brutally. Thankfully, he doesn't need surgery ...
