Give it to Australia. They have never hosted a world cup but already have the facilities to do so. It's also a safe, friendly country and has plenty of local support for the world game. Last year in a friendly between Melbourne and Liverpool around 100,000 spectators filled the stadium. 100,000! For a club friendly!

the whole bidding process for events like the world cup and olympics are a complete sham. anytime countries are allowed to "vote," there is an extremely high probability that those votes can be bought. if all finalists bids are relatively equal then it should just be a random drawing to see which country hosts the event. do away with voting completely.
