That capitulation from Spain in the 2nd half was just incredible. But all credit to the Dutch. Louis van Gaal made the system and the players executed it to perfection. Blind, Robben and van Persie were in devastating form for this match. That was a humiliation.

The odds on the Germans or the Dutch winning the WC just got lowered me thinks. :)

Anyone know how we can watch these games with english commentary ? Besides the internet that is. I need Marin Tylers voice.

I noticed the stories of the controversial calls by the Japanese ref disappeared quickly from JT.

' But all credit to the Dutch. Louis van Gaal made the system and the players executed it to perfection.'

My Man U fan mates have all been writing similar things. Ah, let them dream.

It's still on the site in the World Cup section.

To my credit to Netherlands team, they are in the peak physical condition and run like the deer which was chased by tiger.

Spain played total football strategy was a brain child of 1970s Holland coach(old name of Netherlands). Spain team usual short pass to each other did not work in this match. Spaniards have lost the mojo for controlling the ball. The differences are speed, will to die for winning and amazing fitness of two veterans of Dutch team.

Amazing match, one of the most exciting I ever watched. Congrats Holland!!

Just watched Australia v Chile. I feared for Australia before the tournament but they gave a very good Chile side a run for their money. Australia showed real guts and some decent football against a far better side that could top this group. Tim Cahill - we loved him at Goodison and he's still delivering. A great pro.

The Netherlands absolutely thrashed Spain - they were devastating in the 2nd half.

I was horrified for Australia in the first 15 minutes - they looked nervous, overawed and all at sea. But once they regained composure they were arguably the better side and Chile looked very suspect at the back. Very unlucky not to get a draw.

Well done Holland. However, I'm sad to see Spain get walloped. Australia fought hard but Chile were too good. As for commentary... how about Les Murrary or Gary Bloom... if they still commentate? Although, the Japanese commentators will do. Actually, celebrity commentators would be great like Arnold Swarzeneggar or Joan Collins.... I know they like football.

@ roosterman - Id love to be able to listen to the legendary Les Murray here, too - sadly this will be his very last world cup. Also agreed that the Socceroos fought very hard, and came so close to another Timmy goal to equalise. Respect.

I was surprised to see Spain get such a drubbing from Holland. But it was a great game to watch!

There's an English word few people want to use when a supposedly good team gets routed in a game: quitter. Based on what I read from several online news sources, it appears the Spanish side pretty much quit once the Dutch side went on that scoring deluge.

One of the crummy refs in the Mexico Vs. Cameroon match was from COLOMBIA, I hope this idiot fool does not have any bright ideas of taking any vacation time in MEXICO!! Sad to see such crappy referees, including the Japanese ones in the Brazil vs. Croatia match.

Back to English commentary. Does anyone know a Tune In station with English commentary? I tried BBC5, but it is blocked in Japan. Ta!
