Ronaldo scores hat-trick as Portugal draws 3-3 with Spain

Exciting game! Spain dominated the flanks and midfield but Portugal are really dangerous on the counter attack! C.Ronaldo had an excellent game and certainly the man of the match! At 33, he still performs superbly even against such a superior opponent Spain ( one of the favorites to win the World Cup ). His free kick ( 3rd goal ) was a beauty!

I'm not buying the GOAT and man of the match arguments purely based on this game. Ronaldo had 2 weak goals. The first goal, on the edge of the box, a big dive, and another defender still behind Fernandez? The kick should have been from the side. The second goal was the keeper's fault.

He certainly showed great "expression," though and did a good job in selling himself.

Great game! Spain really controlled the match, but Portugal's counter looks dangerous. David Villa is a real magician in tight spaces! I'm disappointed that NHK did not have the English sub-channel feed. I would much rather listen to the British announcers than NHK's. It looks like all the games viewed in Japan will only be offered in Japanese. I hate that they only seem to focus on one or two famous players.

He can be a bit of an irritating poser, but to be honest, he doesn’t really need to sell himself. He’d walk into any side on the planet and sponsors are still queuing up.

I’d accept his preening if he hit goals in 4 different world Cups for my side.

Am thankful we're getting so many wc games on fta tbh (most Western countries don't). Been watching all sorts of sports on dodgy streams & laptops for about a year now so anything on J tv feels like Xmas!

The Spanish shouldn't have p$ss#d Ronoaldo off with the giant tax bill before the game. He ended up socring $21m worth of goals against them
