Because of Okazaki's transfer to Leicester at the beginning of this season, J Sports did a trial run of 5 live matches of Leicester to gauge the popularity of their matches and after 2 games announced they were broadcasting all 38 of their PL matches this season. That decision has seriously become one of the most prescient broadcasting decisions I've ever seen

Good article. Reminded everyone who forgot about Vardy's aggressive racist comments at a Japanese tourist last summer. Which underlines the fact that most professional football players are overpaid, uneducated, scum.

Maybe that is why Okazaki is the EPL's most-substituted player then. He is taken off early to receive the applause of all those devotees watching him on TV in Japan.
Imagine the adoration if he scores the winning goal against Man Utd. In fact, it seems like the story has already been written and I should put a few quid on it.

It would be nice to see Leicester wrap it up in a competitive game - Man U still have an outside chance of a CL spot. Then again, wrapping it up at home against pretty much anyone would be special, even against mid-table dross like Everton.
I hope Okazaki throws a few sarcastic jibes at Vardy now and again. I would, but perhaps he's more forgiving than me.

Say what you want but J journos always support/follow their players when they are overseas no matter how big the club is.
Re AFP's article not sure it's pertinent to bring back some pre season stuff? Unless you're desperate for a few more clicks that is.

I would LOVE for Leicester to win the EPL at Old Trafford. LOVE it!!!!
Please, please let the football gods be kind this week and allow that to happen!
What a phenomenal story. Great sporting story.

As a Leicester boy and Tokyo resident for 20 years I really want Shinji to do the biz and score the goal that pushes us over the top. This is a wonderous, incredible, barely believable time for the football team and this city (note: less of the "humdrum" if you please, though I get The Smiths reference!) You can sort of imagine, maybe in a flight of fancy, some underrated team giving it a shot once in 20 years, but you never think it will be your team! I'd say it's more unlikely than Japan winning the World Cup (maybe not England though, ho, ho.) But the fat lady ain't sung yet, and one thing we pride ourselves on out of necessity in the East Midlands is pessimism. 3 points in 3 games, come on you crazy foxes! Can I get time off to go back for the parade?

Leicester City is doing something that rarely ever happens,so congrats to them!
