The topic here is the IOC supporting bans on Russian sport (discrimination against Russian teams and athletes against the grain of the Olympic Charter).

Keep the Russians out. They only cheat. It's been proven time and time again and again and again and again and again.

The article is about the IOC ban. The ban is wrong as it contradicts the IOC charter, IMO.

Is cheating and doping in the charter? Is that why the Russians do it?

Uh, my original comment was about maintaining the IOC not maintaining "political neutrality" per the charter.

Read it again.

Back on topic.

You're saying that the IOC should maintain the charter, when the people they are punishing are cheating against the charter.

Unless you're saying the charter says it's ok for Russians to dope, and to run state-sponsored doping programs for their athletes. Is that what you're saying bruh?

Let's remember that political neutrality is a fundamental principle of Olympism in the Olympic Charter.

Rule 50 for example, states that there shall be “no kinds of demonstration or political, religious, or racial propaganda” permitted “ in any Olympic sites, venues or other areas.

Yet, the IOC has yet redefined Rule 50 in a way that allows participants to showcase “expressions” on the field of play prior to the competition providing that they are consistent with Olympic principles and rules, not targeted against people or their nations, AND not disruptive.

The IOC should have known better than to take sides.

Exactly.

And where is Bach coming up with some kind of moral compass?

Wait, your guys moral compass doesn't include cheating?

Or are you saying that because Bach is a PoS, Russia should be allowed to cheat? Is that your guys' logic?
