We had Tesla install a solar panel system on our home's roof, and we are very satisfied with it. After the rebate (since eliminated by our glorious leader Trump), our cost was less than $8,000 USD, and just about all of our electrical needs are offset. The panels were made in the U.S. In the daytime we make excess electricity, and at night we draw on the grid. We should get our investment back within ten years, the panels are guaranteed to produce for twenty years, and will probably work for thirty years, the normal lifespan of a roof over here. At that point in time we can have the roof replaced, and the solar panels replaced with the newest and cheapest product available.

huh? This is the future and Panasonic is running away

Not surprising. The two have marriage problems. Musk has incessantly complained about Panasonic’s rigid management.

Chinese and Koreans can do it better and cheaper. Tesla is not run by a board of 12 dwarfs, unlike Panasonic

I think it should be made compulsory that every new house should be fitted with sola panels, or even Tesla tiles from day one.
