Interesting that Amazon have made blunder after blunder in the health sector and continues to pour more money into it. No wonder they can't pay a dividend.

Amazon's model is based mostly on labor exploitation. I'm not sure 'professional' health workers can be as easily exploited as retail/warehouse workers.

The retail giant said it will launch “Amazon Clinic” in 32 states to provide medication refills and care for conditions like allergies, erectile disfunction, hair loss, migraines and urinary tract infections. That list does not include the flu, COVID-19, ear infections or other urgent care conditions for which patients often seek help through telemedicine

So it's cherry picking what it will provide, in the process slowly eating away at the income of professional and ethical health practitioners who will provide complete care.

They are years behind this. Since the lockdown in the US the numbers of virtual care companies no doubt surpass the limited number of providers Amazon will cover and their insurance coverage is nebulous.
