Amazon strikes deal with Apple to sell iPhones, iPads

This is so stupid, Apple is locking down the second hand market to sellers that can sell over 10 million a year, if you don't do that much you can't sell on Amazon. Apple should NOT control the second hand market and allow the #righttorepair

As of Jan 4, Amazon will rid its site of Apple products from third-party merchants not authorized by the Cupertino, California-based technology company.

Apple is now calling ANYONE that sells their apple product on Amazon counterfeit. If you repair a Apple product or as a store had a trade in you now are banned to sell on Amazon at apple's discretion. Apple are trying to control their product AFTER you buy it and make you buy new product.

This could have a big effect on DoCoMo, AU, et al.

Maybe this was one of the reasons why they announced they’d be cutting prices quite dramatically soon.

Whats going to be the difference between buying on Amazon and buying direct from Apple ?

Apple wasn't selling enough Iphone X's so now they need Amazon's help is what it seems like.

Whats the big fuss? Until you 2015 you could buy Apple products on Amazon. They clashed when neither company would allow their on demand TV apps to be written for/installed on each others devices (i.e. AppleTV/FireTV). Since then things have changed, I for example have the Amazon Prime APP installed on my Apple TV.

I bought my first few ipods/ipod touch and a couple of Ipads on Amazon Japan.

Stupid by Apple - who wouldn't want Amazon selling your products? Yes - I note that they must be authorised sellers, I don't think we can criticise that. Also, the HomePod will NOT be available on Amazon as that would be in direct competition with Alexa.

@theResident: They are stopping anyone else selling second hand and calling anything second hand from anyone but Apple or their 10 million a year friends (no joke) counterfeit.... that is the problem!
