Toy quadcopters can do that now. Better yet the docking stations of the Chinese made examples are found to have back doors that let the Chinese military and intelligence view whatever that quadcopter recorded complete with the GPS coordinates. I don't think they are interested in anyone's bedroom but they are certainly interested in any interesting infrastructure or military bases nearby, which the GPS coordinate will tell them are nearby.
