"Political correctness"? What utter nonsense. Tell me, what exactly is your problem with private companies designing their UI experience to maximize appeal to their target demographic? Or are you just upset they aren't making every possible decision with you specifically in mind?

katsu78 - you really have to learn to accept differing opinions and not be triggered.

bass4funk is right. Its just another wussification of millennials.

bass4funk did not state an opinion. He made a claim. A false one.

and not be triggered.

That word does not mean what you appear to think it means.

"Political correctness"? What utter nonsense.

Most liberals think so because they fail to realize the very PC they implement is driving the rest of the country mad!

Oh, not at all.

No, I'm upset that liberals just don't care about other people, but they feel that they have the right to make the proper decisions for all of us as to what we can or cannot say. Sounds like fascism to me.

So to recap, you not getting a gun emoticon that looks like a realistic gun is fascism to you. You still get to talk about guns on apple products, still get to pass around pictures of guns, still get to use the word "gun", still get to advocate for guns, but because one little emoji in a limited set of characters isn't designed for the aesthetics you personally want, it's fascism.

Did you ever think maybe you ought to take a look at what oppression in the real world looks like?

I belive I do. I've watched you go off the rails several times in the last little while when someone else had the audacity to offer a non-PC opinion.

Thats being "triggered" isn't it? Coulda swore I had the lingo down.

Now that I've said that, I guess you're heading to your "safe space"?

If you think this is fascism, take a look at the emoji for custard. (Code: U+1F36E) That's what happens when we let a bunch of people who know better than us decide what custard should look like. The obvious intent is to pervert the minds of British kids so they never want to eat apple crumble and custard again. Typical liberal-neocon-depublican-progressive-conservative-elitist move. Oppression at its worst.

And why isn't there an emoji for oatcakes?

How do you emoji a single parent? I'm thinking its a picture of a taxi, and the animation is people going in one side, and going out the next very quickly, then as the passenger is leaving, it randomly pops a baby out the trunk or something.

People are just waiting to get shot by police officer or forced face down and cuffed. It does not matter if it is a phone, if it looks like a gun, be sure the police will draw theirs and ready to pull the triggers for any suspicious move. That's not excessive force. That's call self defense and it is pretty valid in my opinion as they also have their families to go back to and their own livesto protect.
