Zero creativity, same old with higher spec and higher prices. Steve jobs is rolling over in his grave.

I dont like apples that have a bite taken out of them before I purchase them! I'll stick with my Androids and keep paddling my own way here in Japan!

Cook looked so fake excited, the audience actually laughed it was so ridiculous. They know they are selling crap and taking your company it is John Sculley all over again.

a price hike of $200.

An updated pencil, still at $99

But the starting price goes up $200 to about $1,200

That means accessories using the iPad's old Lightning port will need adapters, sold separately.

The Air also loses the slot for camera memory cards. An adapter costs $39.

And what do we learn from this....

Patrick Moorhead, founder of Moor Insights & Strategy, said the refreshed products are likely to please Apple fans and users

Madness!

Yawn, sorry but Apple is just mass produced crap now, it's lost its edge, ever since Tim Cook became CEO.

Precisely why I changed away from Apple ...the price gouging with the accessories being rendered unusable by new designs is ridiculous . Android way better and cheaper for my usage.

I agree. I still like Apple products, but I've been taking advantage of the older model discounts since there really isn't much difference in creativity. The older models are just fine with me, like the iPhones.

I have got to agree with the other posters.Love the Apple ecosystem but the price gouging is getting a bit embarrassing particularly regarding the accessories.

Like the poster above said it is time to shop around for deals on the older models.I'm typing in his on my iPhone5s best phone I have ever had.Decent camera, battery life, does everything efficiently and never crashes.Don't need to update.

Too many ports/slots taken out. Too many accessories necessary. Too many price hikes!

I used to love Apple but this is too much.

I hear you. For my wife and I, it's the 6s. We've had our previous 6 for a little over 5 years before my phone was starting to freeze and my wife's phone started to slow down. It was our first iPhone and it handled great. We wanted the same phone in a SIM free model, but the newest older model was the 6s, but the price was great and had much more memory then our previous phone.

Apple now reminds me of those 'Nigerian prince' email scams. Those scams deliberately make the story a bit ridiculous and unbelievable in order to ensure that anyone who actually replies is truly gullible, naive and ready to be scammed. This whole thing with changing special connectors and expensive accessories is a joke to most normal person.

About time for Macs to be updated. It's taking them years to update yet keep selling 3-4 year-old hardware for still about the same price as new

But already the new hardware is getting outdated. Dual-core CPU with 128gb SSD for $1K?! That's criminal when core #s and SSD capacities are exploding out the wazoo

The keyboards are the reason I have given up on Apple computers. Make the computer a bit thicker and put in a proper keyboard.
