Apple makes Siri smarter, rolls out software improvements

Nobody wants increased search capabilities and Siri app functions except for those who are on the road a lot and those who are visually impaired. Everyone wants an intelligent chat bot that you see in sci fi movies - something which will never be possible for at least another 100 years...

I don't want an intelligent chat bot. What I do want is less mendacity, arrogance and scheming from my common man. Fortuntely there's still great books, art,film, music and conversation to go around.

Apple playing catch up... you've lost in Apple. Do you really think people buy phones for Siri?

There are three things that interest me greatly:

The universal clipboard that enables cutting and pasting across all devices, Macs, iPads, iPhones.

iCloud will be used as extra storage. As space on your hard disk reduces, the stuff you don't use very often will get automatically moved to iCloud.

Actually, Siri searches are really handy sometimes. I use it all the time.

And how do you think we will get those? It's not a sudden jump from no chat bot to a chat bot, it's a progression that starts with something like Siri, and increasingly progresses.

Oh we're a lot closer than that. I'd be surprised if we don't have one in 10 years.

Siri will be open for developers. = All apps can (potentially) use Siri -not just search. You squares need to think outside the box and get real.
