"Apple is dabbling with the idea of making online television programming in a move that would challenge established players such as Netflix and Amazon Prime" - article
Dabbling? That's what Diane Keaton did with photography.
Apple has one issue, they're a tech company, now they want to be originators? Isn't that in competition with the rest of the web? So, does a high tech company spend on chatty laugh buckets or innovation? May be that has already been looked after? No further need for innovation, job done?

Netflix, Hulu, etc. work on a variety of devices - that's why their model works.
Could Apple's model work if it's tied only to their device?

Especially looking forward to the one about rich executives and the investing elites enjoying their lavish lives while sweatshop workers struggle to put food on the table and the consuming masses find meaning and escape in the latest upgrade.

Why not? They cold easily hire good writers and have the studios nd equipment for production and editing, etc. More so than Yahoo or streaming services. They could probably come up with some fantastic quality content.

I wonder how many apple products they'll be able to fit into one episode...

So wait... because somebody might be an Apple fan they are classed as "sheeple"? Lets not forget the huge demand for Android OS that you were talking about yesterday... what would you class Android fans as? Lemmings? Or do you want to have your cake and eat it too?
Also... I have both Apple products and Android products and I don't particularly favor one over the other.

wtfjapan: "theyll probably show all the latest US TV shows and charge you twice as much as the competitors. "
Two US streaming companies available in Japan: Netflix and HULU. Both run you about 1000 a month, compared to ONE CHANNEL on cable in Japan (like WOWOW) at 3000. So who charges an arm and a leg above?

They could probably come up with some fantastic quality content. theyll probably show all the latest US TV shows and charge you twice as much as the competitors. and the sheeple will pay it too! LOL
