I like apple products but apple needs to give some of that money to charity or people that need it, I mean 35 billion is like a small country.

It will be interesting to see how they fair when Win 8 tablets and phone hit the market soon. So far the only real competition has been the clunky Android system which requires you to give Google all your personal info etc just to get free apps etc. The Android system has been free (not in real terms but appears free) and it looks to me like MS have decided pretty much to go head to head in the mobile market. MS have many years of experience in systems and marketing and combined with possibly a great inter-connectivity with MS desktop and mobile systems since they will in many cases be the same platform (windows) , there may be a very interesting shift on the horizon. I really liked my iPhone but I got a wireless wifi combo phone which is really cool in concept but it uses Android which plain sucks. Also the new hybrid tablet from MS/ASUS looks very cool so far. But I will never buy Android stuff again,

You login with your gmail account... with apple you use your apple ID... I'm sure when MS comes out with their offering you will use your live account as well.

I very much like Android, totally open system, I didn't really like the pre icecream sandwich versions but the newer v4 phones and tablets are really great.

It will be interesting, but they have an uphill battle on their hands getting market share. Also, one thing about Apple is that they make all their products work seamlessly with each other. Smart strategy to lock you in a bit.

It may be open, but it's a bit clunky. Also, it's hard to upgrade to later versions of Android without changing your hardware.

Not really, just recently updated to Jelly bean without any hassle what-so-ever, super fast and super smooth at 60FPS menuing. I admit that android v2 phones totally sucked IMO.

AFAI have read, it seems that MS phones/tablets OS won't talk to MS desktops. If this strategy proves true, MS hardly will gain any territory in mobile land.

Me thinks Wall Street is expecting too much.

It's a screwed up economic system when a company makes 25% profit on it's business and increases profits by 20.5% over a year earlier and the market is disappointed.

The story should be about what kind of labour and environmental exploitation was required for Apple to reap such rewards and about which shareholders and corporate elites are gaining how much and where they are hiding it to avoid paying taxes.

With iPhone 5, iOS6 and Mountain Lion coming out and I'll bet updates to Pages, Keynote and Numbers, there's nothing to worry about.

Oh yes, and the rumour about the 7 inch iPad!

Windows 8 does indeed ask for live account.
