Let's see if they can do something substantial about this

The main problem seems to be the monetary issue for the app developers.
Removing preinstalled apps and decertifying the app stores is actually going to hurt end users and especially those that are not very good with gadgets.

Apple downfall in recent years show that they want to get back anyhow by doing some other unnecessary things but not by innovating their products.
