The revolutionary new iPhone might have 1GB RAM and 8MPixel Camera.... the most-advanced hardware 4 years ago. Perhaps a dual-core, triple-core CPU, again the most-advanced hardware 4 years ago.

@LostinNagoya, Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014. Very good stuff. But jokes aside (even though I wasn't kidding about the Yamazaki. It IS a really really good expression, possibly one of the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing), I've always given credit to where it was due. Apple has been picking up its game recently with the iPhone 6. Not enough for me to switch back, but certainly heading in a better direction than Samsung (they gave up some major competitive advantages when foregoing the external SD and external battery features, and I've already mentioned how disappointing their camera has been). I'm still not a fan of iOS, and without the ability to customise my user experience (via third party widgets, visual theming, etc.), it's still a deal breaker for me.

just don't like the restrictiveness of iOS, nor the fact that you need to jailbreak it and run Cydia to get anything good to work.

I was a prolific jailbreaker until the iPhone 6 - but they've now integrated all the apps I used to add when jailbreaking into iOS itself, so I don't need to jailbreak anymore.

For the first time in close to a decade, I'm actually interested to see what Apple has to offer in the way of smartphones, given the direction Samsung has been headed lately, and the relative stagnation of all smartphones in the market over the past year. I know it will probably never happen, but if they allow their iPhones to run Android OS, I'd probably give them a try again. Form factor and capability wise (particularly with the camera, considering how crap the S5's camera is, and I've tried the S6 and was left underwhelmed), I like the direction they went with the iPhone6. I just don't like the restrictiveness of iOS, nor the fact that you need to jailbreak it and run Cydia to get anything good to work.

They wanted 1,000¥ more a month to switch from an iphone 4 to a 6. No thanks. I'll wait till they discount it more when a new product comes out.

Only for you. I use siri everytime I have my iPhone on my hands. She can write messages you dictate, can set appointments, call your contacts or numbers you ask her, you can ask her anything you would search on Google - everything she does saves time. I haven't written messages on Facebook, WhatsApp, Mail in a long time now. She is truly revolutionary and if Apple asked what feature I appreciate more on iPhones, I would say, undoubtly: it's Siri.

I mostly have to agree. Siri has improved significantly since it was first released, and I use it daily. I schedule literally every single meeting I have using Siri. All appointments too. And with the Apple Watch, Siri is even more beneficial, because you just have to say 'hey Siri' to activate it. When I'm riding my bike, I'll say to my watch 'hey Siri send a message to ___ saying I'll arrive in 10 minutes, and it does everything, except that I have to actually push the send button. And as I have a speaker on my bike, I can tell it what album or even song to play, and it plays if. Simply saying 'hey Siri, next' skips to the next track. And I can say 'hey Siri, take me home' and I get instant audio directions to my house. When I'm doing anything that needs a timer, 'hey Siri set a timer for three minutes' or when I have a nap, 'hey Siri wake me up in half an hour'.

It's a great tool. I only have good things to say about it.

it's about time they improved siri. revolutionary at the time, it's faded into the background.

iphone 6s ... now with bend gate fixed.

gogogo - If you had 260lb Apple-hating nerds sitting on you in skinny jeans for 24hrs straight, you'd bend too

Probably not. They always have an interim model between versions. It will likely be iphone 6-something.

Yeah that was I was expecting but this place is 10times bigger than the previous events so there is a slight chance they will introduce something new. The iCar? O_o

Too cryptic, Strangerland? Set-top box a tad oxymoronic in the post-CRT age.

The auditorium seats up to 7,000 people, which is a much larger capacity than San Francisco’s 750-seat Yerba Buena Theater, where Apple often holds such events.

Me thinks they have something big to announce. New Iphone 7?

If Apple, the richest company in the world, is running a balancing act, I'm curious to know what exactly that means to you.

a new set-top box for televisions

Quite the balancing act, Apple.
