The company's sales of $117 billion for the October-December period represented a 5% decline from the same time in the previous year, a deeper downturn than analysts had projected.

“We manage for the long term," Apple CEO Tim Cook told analysts during the conference call. “We invest in innovation and people.”

117 billion? Yeah I'm sure you'll manage fine Tim. Heck I'd be Ok with 1/100th of that.

Apple is the world's wealthiest company. Worth $2.6 trillion. More than $1 trillion is held in cash.

The latest releases of mac minis and MacBooks will increase sales.

Apple may try to seek revenue by time-locking the iOS on your phone, only by purchasing a new license or new phone every few years will you then be able to continue to use the Apps that you have.

Some people have applephobia.

With the latest iOS 16.3 release, I think Apple is going to be facing some serious questions Globally and the result will be a further dramatic loss in revenue... just as Google saw when it lost face with it's GPT Chat lookalike failure.

"iOS 16.3 releases a wallpaper to honor Black history and culture in celebration of Black History month in the US."

Sorry, but what has that got to do with me in Japan ? Why is this discriminating against other causes, such as Japanese Civilian PoW's in the US during WW2 and Jewish Holocaust Survivors - since neither get their own "WallPapers"... or at least no schedule of Publication has been published to-date, yet Apple seems to have crossed a Political Line here by highlighting one local cause and promoting it ... Globally ! So, without correcting it, will Alienate itself from its userbase, as clearly what it promotes is what its management seems fit to promote and then why.. don't they promote those causes I've just mentioned ??? Racism ?

You can use whatever wallpaper you want.

Nothing at all. Literally nothing. Here's an idea for you - maybe don't use that wallpaper? Like, I'm not sure why you would be using it. I assume you must be using it, since you're so angry about being forced to use it. You must have been forced to use it right, because otherwise you'd be angry about absolutely nothing, and look really silly.

How exactly are they forcing you to use it, that is making you so angry?

Apple on Thursday posted its first quarterly revenue drop in nearly four years after pandemic-driven restrictions on its China factories curtailed sales of the latest iPhone during the holiday season.

Gotta broaden the market.

There are apps that are only available from the app store in a country, like the US for instance. Others are only available from the Japanese app store. When I need my Japanese apps I change my app account. So I have an iPhone with apps from the US and apps from Japan. Music is another area.
