Apple Watch is not a toy! I’ve had mine for a few years and the health monitoring app is very accurate and helpful.

I've heard stories about how the Apple Watch gave the user a warning due to irregular heartbeat so he went to the hospital and the guy was in serious danger of something but were able to catch it due to the warning. Apple Watch saved his life!

There are a few stories like that. The newer Apple watches have fall detection, and recently one called in for a guy who had fallen from a cliff and his watch automatically called 911:

Any idea when japan will get the monitoring stuff? The Apple watches here are missing some key functionality for this unfortunately - I’m assuming it needs government approval?
