Good. The only problem is I had to carry my ass all the way to Shibuya to get my phone fixed (it got replaced). I live in Yokohama so it isn't exactly convenient for me. You think such a powerful company like Apple would have a bit more regard for their high paying customers? Maybe give them more stores to go to?

HAHAHAHA. I thought Apple only produced high quality, non defect products? What happened to their so called quality? Lmao. My father's iPhone 4 broke 4 TIMES already within a year of getting it while my Galaxy S4 didn't even have any problems although I had it for one year or more. My friend's new iPhone 5s' screen cracked WITHIN a day of getting it. She dropped it accidentally while she was sitting on a chair. While I drop my S4 err day everyday, and I still haven't gotten a single crack on it. LOOOOL

Meh. Looking forward to the OnePlus One. Wish I could run my old iPhone through that smash and upgrade for $1 machine they used in their commercial.

You do realize that the phones are manufactured by the hands of Chinese workers, don't you? Hence, it's the Chinese workers' incopetence that you should laugh on.

OnePlus the Chinese company? No thanks! They make good commercials but the phone itself is very ugly. At least they made a good joke on Samsung's ugly phone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs8yHw68FG0

Rotten Apple.

Whenever AU can't fix a problem, they always give the customer the address of Applle in Shibuya which could amount to several hours traveling depending on ones location.

Mmm I think it's rather nice, but how often do you take time to sit back and admire your phone's design....I'm mostly occupied by the contents on its' screen.

At least they're fixing.

Corning's latest, Gorilla Glass 3 may be a lot harder to scratch but it's not impact resistant. The new type of glass is featured on Samsung's Galaxy S4 that's just hitting the markets now. As you can see in the video below, the new glass is put through its paces in a drop test while going head to head with the older iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III screens, both of which feature Gorilla Glass 2.

By making a substance harder (less prone to scratches) it can become brittle. =Reason why GG3 (Galaxy S4) is having more issues with the cracking when dropped a certain way compared to iPhone 5 and S3.

wow so much BS here, no way you when to the website to know how to get it repaired. but nice try

Mail-in Call Apple and request a postage paid box to send your iPhone in to the local Apple Repair Center. Your iPhone will be examined by the Repair Center to verify eligibility. After it has been serviced, your iPhone will be returned to you by mail.

"You do realize that the phones are manufactured by the hands of Chinese workers, don't you?"

Well, then if Apple is so obsessed with quality, as its fans stress, why don't they do the manufacturing in the US, Germany, Japan, etc.?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The thing is there is one important thing missing from Iphone and Samsung Galaxy models... so easy to make #1 tech improvement... for $10 a phone.

@titaniumdioxide if you making something high quality it should not be easily broken no matter where its made. Chinese can make high quality products, its just that most comapnies that have products made in China whant it done on the cheap side. Apple is no different, they just want to maximise there profits at the expense of the Chinese workers

I think Iphones are good but way too OVER PRICED!! When will APPLE start to lower their prices!! Well, I will not hold my breath and in the mean time Samsung, LG etc..are getting better and better and way better prices so I hope the Japanese and European smartphones can also keep up! (funny about AU, Softbank also does the same, oh we do not know what your Iphone problem is, so go to the Apple store nearest you in??) Only 7 APPLE stores in all of JAPAN??? WTF!!!!

Only lunatics think that devices are 100% perfect. There are no ultra-efficient brand that have not had problems with manufacturing (toyota, bmw...), unless it's hand made (hermes, faberge...). So, the ones pointing fingers at Apple are unrealistic. I have manu iDevices, I don't expect all of them to be perfect. But, they have been, anyway. And Apple's service is more than exceptionally good.

John Master> Independent tests confirm the Galaxy S3 and even the S4 are more fragile than the iPhone 5. So your anectdotal evidence is irrelevant.

while my Galaxy S4 didn't even have any problems although I had it for one year or more

Good. I hope it doesn't catch on fire.
