Best gamers in Asia prepare for grand finals of Asia e-Sports Cup 2012

CyAC, the game tournament platform, has announced the confirmed finalists for the Grand Finals of Asia e-Sports Cup 2012 to be held at Tokyo Game Show 2012, Makuhari Messe, Chiba, from Sept 20-23.

The best players in Asia will gather at the CyAC Tokyo Game Show booth to battle for a slice of the 1.64 million yen prize purse and to be crowned the champions of 2012.

For those that cannot see the action live at Tokyo Game Show, you can visit the official Asia e-Sports Cup website to follow all the action broadcast live from the event.

Yeah, I'm curious too. South Korea has the best StarCraft 2 gamers in the world (MVP, Squirtle, etc.) and the best CS 1.6 gamers in Asia. Why aren't they in this?

Why is there no Korean participation? They didn't qualify, or threw a tantrum and boycotted the event?

And there was no qualifiers or participation from Korea, arguably the top eSports country in the world.
