Another fantasy brought to 'life' by wizards with no heart. The exploitation of such will reach into the transportation industry on every level. Eliminating jobs, without creating replacement occupations.

The point of it all is to create profit for manufacturers and increase profits in transportation by eliminating human workers. There is no offset. The intent: it simply eliminates the need for employees. It will not provide alternative employ. Those who are dazzled by dwelling in the land of The Jetsons, suffer from an immeasurable alienation. Cab drivers, bus drivers, delivery drivers, anything that involves a vehicle, those jobs will be unnecessarily eliminated - the creation of driverless vehicles is another overheated technological fantasy, the impact of which concern not those who intent it use and profit.

Many moons ago, a critique of PCs and laptops was proffered: it went like this: Imagine if automobiles and trucks experienced the same failures as computers. The roads would be littered with non-functioning, abandoned vehicles. Such is the future with driverless vehicles - just consider the mechanical problems that plague automobiles, as is, imagine what it will be like with aging, driverless vehicles as they lose their mojo.

The first action of the vehicle took was to create an active environment of road rage. Luckily no one was hurt...
