Frees him up to buy (or sell) shares without being encumbered by inside information or Director fiduciary duties. I think more rude shocks to come for the Twitterati.
Mr Kipling
Has he already sold his stake after the pump?

Musk tweeting nonsense now to get his fanbois to buy stock. He said Twitter should be changed to Titter.
dagon
At 9:30 p.m., Musk tweeted an emoji of a face with round eyes and a hand over its mouth. The symbol is often used to suggest embarrassment or coy laughter, sometimes with a connotation of “Oops!”
Among the billionaire oligarchs I am not sure Musk is a negative influence. However..
He is not self made and started out with parent's blood emerald mine capital
He did not found Tesla, he bought it from the founders.3, He used his middling coding skills to access certain businesses
The fanboys need to take a more sober look.
Mr Kipling

I am anything but a fanboy of Musk but have to admit, he hasn't done too badly for himself.
master
Try approx $275 Billion.
For him, buying Twitter is like you and me choosing a shoelace.
Blacklabel
Because they said he couldn’t buy more than 15% of the company if he was on the board.
so, no board.
bass4funk
That's a good thing, at least he had a platform to work with.
And made it better, way better.
And?
Doesn't diminish that the guy is a genius in many aspects.
wtfjapan
I hope he buys the company and his first move would be to fire the CEO who embraced censorship.
no they censor lies and misinformation, if if Elon owned 51% of the company, highly doubtful he let people keep stating those lies and misinformation
Doesn't diminish that the guy is a genius in many aspects.
no doubting that, must also mean that EVs are the future, getting the US off oil dependance will go a long way in making the US more energy Independent without outside entities dictating how much you have to pay
Strangerland
It must mess with right-wingers head's knowing that their support of Musk is also a vote in favor of the truth of climate change!
Desert Tortoise
His labor practices and his stance on Covid-19 make him, let's say, much less than a hero among most of those you would label as "left". He is seen by the left as an arrogant, bigoted, self aggrandizing jerk.
Peter Neil
Twitter is crap anyway. Almost half of the accounts are bots. Bots tweeting to bots in the dark.
master
nope.

Musk is a huge supporter of oil and gas.
