Exactly what I have been saying here for over a month. Musk will withdraw from the deal using the bot count as his excuse and Twitter will sue. Musk didn't have the liquidity for his half of the deal but he will blame it all on bots.

He will be “forced” to buy it for around 28 billion. Which is what he wants.

Did anyone really think he was going to see this through?

The "Lock up agreement" between the seller and buyer will prevail in court.

Musk seems to have callous disregard to any SEC regulations.

Real investors do their due diligence BEFORE making a take over bid.

Costly mistake for Elon.... prestige and Tesla cash gone gone gone.

Hilarious...

The far-righters, Trump supporters, and their media shepherds all were crowing when Musk said he'd buy Twitter...

"That will show the Libs,,,,we'll get Trump back on....no more woke posts".....

Your hero either played or rejected you...

Something you must be pretty familiar with....ROFL....

1 Musk agrees to buy Twitter for 44Billion

> 2 Twitter value drops about 10-15 Billion

> 3 Suddenly Musk gets worried about the prevalence of “fake accounts”

> Yeah no, the guy overpaid for the company and realized it. He is just trying to get out of a bad deal, that’s all

Thats literally how nothing in this world works. If I buy a car today, and then find out they out the car is then discounted a week later, I can't go to the dealership and demand my money back.

It's utterly insane the amount people jump through hoops for this guy.

His declining to exercise his right to due diligence told me from Day One he was not serious about this.

Interesting how many people took him and his plans seriously though.

My guess is he is on the hook for at least a billion.

Winners in all this? The lawyers involved, of course.

Why would anyone buy a company if they’re not forthcoming with their ledgers and unwilling to say how many of their accounts are real and are just bots, if you’re unwilling to do that in good faith and show me everything then blank you too. Spend for than what it’s worth, at least he didn’t let Twitter sucker him out of a lot of cash and now Twitter wants to take him to court to push him to move forward with the deal. If Twitter does that then they’re opening up Pandora’s box on themselves.

"That will show the Libs,,,,we'll get Trump back on....no more woke posts".....

I think the left are the only one obsessed with that.

Your hero either played or rejected you...

No, he just (and rightfully so) wasn’t going to let Twitter pimp him.

The far-righters, Trump supporters

Trump actually correctly predicted that Musk would not complete the deal. I personally said he’s not buying it at that price.

Another correct statement. welcome to MAGA world!!

If Elon looked before he kept and/or pulled out in time, he wouldn’t have 10 kids, so this is entirely on-brand for Mr. no-consequences rich-boy.

Twitter should make him choke on it.

I will believe the deal is off once they go back to censoring Musk on Twitter.

“Whoever controls the teleprompter is the real President!” tweet about the latest embarrassing Biden gaffes is still up- so the deal isn’t off.

Wow. First time Musk pulled out.

Why would anyone buy a company if they’re not forthcoming with their ledgers and unwilling to say how many of their accounts are real and are just bots, if you’re unwilling to do that in good faith and show me everything then blank you too. Once again, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Musk specifically waived his due diligence rights when he signed the deal. Then he went, “oh no, I’ve agreed to buy a company that doesn’t make money for $44b. Oops”, and so he complained that they lied to him. Which they didn’t.

Too bad for you, though. Remember when you said free speech didn’t exist before Musk bought Twitter? lol

Musk hasn’t been censored on Twitter.

But by all means, keep giving us your predictions.

But freedom!?

What will happen to the beloved freedom so many twitter users here were already saying they had experienced firsthand months ago?

Was it all just in their minds? Say it ain’t so!

Maybe Elon can buy Truth Social, I hear that’s all the rage these days!

Hahaha remember when JT’s, um, “best and brightest” were cheering because they were finally free to speak their minds now the Musk had bought Twitter… except he hadn’t and they were making things up?

Weird. Weird how MAGAts just live in an alternative reality.

He will be “forced” to buy it for around 28 billion. Which is what he wants.

Good point.

Even if Twitter keeps pushing this towards the courts, there could be a renegotiated price, suck as Blacklabel mentioned, likely to be lower than the initial offering price.

Think Tiffany and Louis Vuitton.

Sure! Maybe once musk buys twitter (again) he’ll let Bobby Engel speak the truth. It seems his bombshell testimony is being hidden by the leftist media.

Sure! Maybe once musk buys twitter (again)

He bought it before, sold it, and is now looking to buy it again?

Not sure about this reference--someone trying to grab the steering wheel or something?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

“No one said” he tried to grab the steering wheel or attacked an agent or was in the beast, not an SUV. Those lies are unimportant.

just the “essence” of the “characterization” that she gave us is all that matters- not any (false) details.

so yes Twitter has much more free speech than before, it’s obvious to any user.

let’s see if they go back to their old 100% liberal bias and censorship or not. Will be really easy to see if they do. If they don’t, Elon is likely buying it at $42. (I would wait until $32)

So, jordan peterson is making a mountain out of a molehill as usual.

I predict neither of these things will happen. Let’s see what excuses you have when I’m right.

Weird. Weird how MAGAts just live in an alternative reality.

Yeah weird that only in the last few months can I tweet about anything I want without getting suspended.

the same things that got me locked out of my account prior to that, now get to be said. Weird, huh?

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

He bought it before, sold it, and is now looking to buy it again?

No. I was repeatedly told he was the owner months ago and that he had ushered in a new era of freedom.

But that was just a fantasy.
