Wil be more of the same. By all means continue to invest in cypto but also be prepared to loose your shirt.

And Bitcoin?

Etherium was designed from the beginning to use PoW temporarily. Going from PoW to PoS is a step in the right direction as the energy consumption is greatly minimized.

However, we will have to wait for a long time more for the next four upgrades (Surge,Verge,Purge and Splurge) to be implemented, before we see our invested capital to grow.

And I love the epilogue, informing us that the ''wider crypto sector is beset by flaws and scams'' as if the rest of the economic sector is a perfect valley of sincerity and integrity.

I hope that with more validators, transaction costs will decrease. Other PoS blockchains are far cheaper than ETH, but they launched as PoS.

pointing out that it is unclear much energy the new system will need.

I think there should be a how in there somewhere JT.

This is a huge question mark hanging over ETH. All the people who are supposed to benefit from blockchain (the creators, artists, the unbanked and those in developing countries) are using the alternative blockchains because ETH transaction are prohibitively expensive. They don't have $100 to mint an NFT, so they gravitate to the alternatives. If ETH doesn't address this problem, it has no future at all.

Nice, more and more centralization (already 40% or the transactions are added by 2 entities), exactly what a currency needs ...
