Is it me or is this European Competition Commission Margrethe Vestager getting a bit heavy handed?

Bottom line: consumers need protection.

If people are silly enough to put these things in their homes or leave then active on their phones\devices that is their own problem. I disabled OK Google on my phones and in my house my family must keep theirs or siri disabled. I will never get any of these devices for many reasons but one is they make people even more lazy than they already are. The obese in the west are getting more obese overweight are getting obese and here we are handing them a device so they never even have to get up to do anything. My nephew came to Japan he is overweight (to put it nicely) and asked why don't I get all these "smart devices" he said we can turn lights on off TV, etc.. I looked at him said the rooms are at most 3 steps from one end to the other are you that lazy you cannot walk that distance?

Interesting but not worst than people that want everything but did nothing except talk.
