Having just lost $8.5bn to the EU's bait and switch tax con, it seems likely that Apple are going to be handing over more cash in the future if they continue to operate in the EU. Whilst I think the UK should have stayed in the EU, if I was Apple, I would exit it. The EU are just going to use them as an ATM now until they eventually go.

Apple have a large cash pile. Instead of giving it to governments as 'fines', they should start investing it in core infrastructure projects. Atari, Commodore and Sinclair are long gone. GAFA empowered individuals at the expense of governments. The Empire is striking back. In the future, there may be very little tech development and much less general access to technology. Before GAFA is cannibalised by politicians, they need to switch their cash into lower risk non-tech investments and begin to prepare for when they may do little or no tech.

This comes off as extremely petty, especially after the last EU/Apple debacle.

Would be nice if someone kicked open the walled garden.

LOL, this story, like all the other EU stories proves global elitists are running the EU, and they're destroying the essence of Europe, the cornerstone of western civilisation. It was once 'credible' to run the global agenda to sell stuff to China, but...uh, wake up and smell the coffee. China is destroying Europe.

Look closely, the EU just lost a tax case against google, Apple will do the same.

Now look at the supposedly 'win' for the EU.

Developers asked for cheaper apps store fees, the EU/Apple says, go make your own. LOL

Instead of thunderbolt 4, the EU makes Europe a self deprecating edict to be more PC like to downgrade to USB-C.

Soon, Europeans will be speaking Chinese and innovate with Huawei chips. Never witness in a lifetime a bunch of people more inept than the EU. It's not even like USA deepstate, the EU is more like sleepstate LOL.
