Parler........cut off by major service providers that accused the app of failing to police violent content.

Why didn't the tech giants apply the same standard when BLM and Antifa, encouraged by Dem politicians and a host of others, used thier platforms to organise rioting, burning and killing?

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram are just as guilty, even worse than Parler could ever be. Hypocrites.

Even LAPD statistics showed that over 97% of BLM/police violence demonstrations had no violence whatsoever. There were no calls to kidnap or kill politicians from BLM. BLM was organizing to storm state legislatures or the national capital. And, obtw, much of the violence that did happen was created not by BLM but by outside groups who often were Boogaloos or Accelerationists. How about that 17 yo from Indiana who drove up to Wisconsin to confront BLM and killed three people doing so? Streamed it live on social media. That isn't BLMs fault. Quit spouting lies.

@Desert Tortoise

Even LAPD statistics showed that over 97% of BLM/police violence demonstrations had no violence whatsoever.

That's because the assaults, murders, looting, and arson happened RIGHT AFTER demonstrations "ended." Those criminal actions didn't happen "during" the demonstration, but immediately after. As soon as some BLM demonstration participants started criminal actions, the demonstration was considered to have ended, and became a separate event.

Desert Tortoise

You accuse Concerned Citizen of spouting lies, yet it appears that you’ve got a very shaky handle on certain “facts”. Have you been consuming too much of CNN’s “reporting” ? “Mostly peaceful protests” etc....

I take it you’re attempting to refer to Kyle Rittenhouse from Illinois (not Indiana) who was confronted, chased and then attacked by 3 rioters, who he shot, clearly seen on cell phone camera footage taken by onlookers ?

Before it died. . . . people (hackers) pulled terabytes of data with personal data and geolocation information.

Apparently, the company was not very good at protecting the information of its "over 12 million users."

They are formatting the data to make it easier to search and find people inciting violence and are turning it over to the FBI and other police to find violent militants and plotters.

Good riddance.

Would you happen to know why he was there with a loaded weapon when he could have chosen to stay home?

'bye Parler.

Parler also lost its vendors and businesses that make money on the app, and even its own lawyers:

"Parler CEO Says Service Dropped By “Every Vendor” And Could End His Business"

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/parler-ceo-says-dropped-every-200411770.html

“Every vendor from text message services to email providers to our lawyers all ditched us too on the same day,” [Parler CEO] Matze said today on Fox News.

Trump is a billionaire - why not put his money where his mouth is and pay for Parler

Where are the rich people who believe in Parler to pay for it?

I am sure trump will invest in Parler!!!

Oh wait , he has debts of $400 million, his businesses are collapsing and no banks want to work with him!!!

Wanted to join but they wanted a mobile number to do so. Will never get involved with anything requiring that.

Amazon cut Parler, a platform favored by supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump..

Nope a platform favored by the right..that "right' has been subtly dropped..

As a procession of business vendors severed ties with the two-year-old site...

The standard narrative..now this should have been..As a procession on left aligned US based business vendors....

Now this is the entry point many non US based and even US based providers of such services were waiting for, these firms should have remained neutral from the politics.. but now there is no going back..so now.. only if you are left aligned, only than look at these firms for your business, As for Parler, they need to move to a non US based provider of such services..they should have though seen this coming. The content on Parler is widely available..and that's not why they were taken out.

"These are the violent threats that made Amazon drop Parler - A new filing reveals Amazon’s concerns, raised weeks before the Capitol raid"

In a filing on Tuesday, Amazon responded to Parler’s claims that it acted unfairly in taking down the social network — and in the process, gave outsiders a new look at the content that provoked Amazon to suspend Parler’s web services account.

But while many had seen the suspension as a knee-jerk response to the mob attack on the US Capitol, Amazon’s response makes clear that the service had lodged complaints with Parler long before the raid.

“AWS reported to Parler, over many weeks, dozens of examples of content that encouraged violence,” the company argues in the filing, “including calls to hang public officials, kill Black and Jewish people, and shoot police officers in the head,”

In the filing, Amazon emphasized that it had suspended service rather than terminating it entirely and was open to restoring service to Parler if the company began moderating content in compliance with AWS’s terms of service.

Apple CEO Tim Cook made a similar point on Wednesday in an appearance on CBS, explaining that Apple had removed Parler from the iOS App Store because of its failure to moderate its content according to Apple’s terms. “All we’re asking is he meet the Terms of Service,” said Cook. “Our hope is that they do that and get back on the store.”

Amazon says it submitted more than 100 such comments to Parler in the weeks leading up to the suspension.

Content warning: these threats are graphic, violent, and racist; use discretion.

The coding, database configuration, as well as the security of Parler is (was) absolutely garbage. Check the news and you will find that absolute idiots made and implemented Parler.

An Absurdly Basic Bug Let Anyone Grab All of Parler's Data

(news source)

Dozens of terabytes (including content that Trump members intended to delete but still remained) were syphoned off from AWS for everyone including the FBI to see and investigate. I'm just wondering who is more stupid - the Proud Boys for using Parler with coding done by incompetents, or the incompetent coders themselves.

Really, check the news on this Parler "Hack" (NO, it was not even a hack) and it is amazing that Trump people can't even build an App correctly.

they need to move to a non US based provider

WRONG! They are tied to AWS on a proprietary basis and the "CEO" (snicker snicker) of Parler John Matze said they need to go back to AWS. Again, it takes real competence to have an App business and Parler ain't it.

A 17 yo boy drives from Indiana to Wisconsin with a rifle. WTH? He went up there looking for a fight, looking to kill a protester. That much is clear to me. Don't give us a bunch of mealy-mouthed excuses for what he did. And just yesterday he was drinking in a bar with some known white nationalists (18 drinking in a bar with his mother, nice people) flashing a white nationalist hand sign. Don't go making excuses for this kids behavior.

Here's a statistic: 97% of Antifa/BLM riot videos on the internet are violent and destructive

Care to back that claim? And what are the chances that it is the occasions of violence that end up atop the list of Youtube videos? Peaceful protests are pretty boring so they don't get the attention the violent ones do.

Look at the race of those committing the violence. A good many are white and it is becoming apparent these often were Boogaloos and Accelerationists trying to accelerate the downfall of western governments they view as corrupt.

Let the cops/Feds figure it out then count the bodies/arrests later. Trump people think that the Proud Boys were justified to invade the Capitol considering all those "violent Antifas" who did all those mayhem murders. Just tell the Proud Boys/Trump people boo hoo, you guys got busted and going away on Federal charges while the Antifas are like ghosts who never get busted for whatever reason - must have to do with Hillary's deep state.
