When F-16 fighters came with just a small controller, there were complaints from the stick guys too.
Let GM try it. Anyone who has played a video game will pick it up quickly.

Unless it 100% proven safe then 'no'. First see if it works with trains, buses, and then cars.
Training wheels first!

Right... I'd be also asking GM too about their plan to have a car that drives only in straight lines... :-)

Hmm. I believe Treasury dept still holds large block of GM stock from the 30 billion bailout some years ago so the Government will give them preference. Further more I would love to see an automated car last a winter in South Dakota blizzards. Forgo safety for profit?

Waymo now has an 'uber like' app service in Arizona. This is happening... Investors are going all in to get a piece of the 'new' car market.
