Google Glass all over again. Be the FBI's snitch

Just because we can, should we?

A moot question when someone like a Zuckerberg just will.

I'd like to hear from one of our readers who is an optician or otherwise has a background in optometry, over the safety of these, and whether they are practical and functional.

Now that apple banned FB tracking on their devices, they decide to "partner" with a sunglass company who will bow to their demands.

The smart thing is to avoid Facebook

Safe to wear these in public places?

I knew a blind WW2 vet who used shades like these. You tell who you are and he could 'see' your image.

Oh my. The Flip Flop fetish boys will be talking like crazy on the trains during summer time.

Will they make a camera click noise when you command a picture to be taken?

Art, terror and erections show VR potential at Venice - Japan Today

Maybe Facebook and Ray Ban can use that VR tech in their glasses to enhance the experience

Perverts will love these.

Shoes with cameras are surely better. It's gotta be terribly awkward (and obvious) when you crank your neck down to get an up-skirt shot.

Not something which I know much about but, assuming these glasses don't necessarily need to be on your head when taking a shot they could be held casually low down without attracting the attention which a 'phone would being held in a similar position. As for the white light, a spot of black paint or a small piece of black tape could easily solve that problem.

Companies should issue these for free to their female staff to give them a 'dash cam' style ability to protect themselves and record evidence of harassment. Good for female students too.

BBC Click did a review of these, and ... apart from being useless, they pose an opportunity for up-skirt perverts to film woman higher up on escalators, etc.

Unlike the outrageous looking snapchat versions it's hard to tell with these whether they're actively filming or not, the end result will I guess, be an immediate ban for anyone wearing sunglasses within Subways and other public places. Worst case, they find themselves being accosted by Security guards checking whether they're just normal sunglasses or digital recording ones.... don't by Raybans.
