First of all, by Zuckerburg's own words, there are not 750 million users, there are just over 500 million.

Secondly, the video function will be laggy at best until FB can upgrade servers to handle the load of power and data required. Until then, Skype is still my main video tool.

Skype is the one helping Facebook offer this.. What are you bitching about digiridoo? Got shares in myspace or something? You seem cut about something.

good response on google open the signing up gates. this will be a big battle between fb and google. Very interesting to see where this will go.

What is Facebook?

Interesting, the biggest thing missing (from my perspective) on the Facebook UI was video chat. Google Trends shows a levelling off of interest in FB recently and possibly the start of a decline. I'd like to see how usage changes once video chat is enabled.

The new side bar feels irritating for me. They could find better way to serve this. I don't think Facebook will suffer from technical glitch with this video chat as they are already world's most scalable web platform. But it won't be easy enabling video conferencing for such a huge user base.

Well, for teenagers added video option may seems pretty cool. finally they wont have any reason to leave their home. someday we will be a witness of virtual pizza hut or mcdonald... and to be frank, i dont like this vision. for me this idea is just pointless.
