I don't know if it's only me but, I wasn't interested in using the app but it got to the point where my iphone wouldn't let me send or read a Facebook message unless I downloaded the app. It was sort of forced upon me.

I never got the app. Way too invasive - you have to give it permission to use your mic and camera at any time without your knowledge.
Now I only send messages through a browser.

What about Skype and Facetime? I do not want to have anything to do with FB, the stolen product from two genious Harvard dudes.
