Exactly peeps. Overvalued and I'd like you all to know it. skipthesong has a funny bit in their comment about all the HS people that want to be your "friends" again. HS was fun, but half the fun was hating on others. Sure as hell don't want to know you. Damn funny bit though. Good one skip!

The sole purpose of the like button is to share the fact you like it with your friends. Why would you even click "Like" otherwise? How is this news?

Facebook will be dead in a few years just like Myspace. Way overvalued! ~ FB might as well ride this wave as much as they can go. In my book, there is no company better than Google aka the worlds greatest innovation factory.

FB has let me get back in contact with many of my old Army buddies, friends from HS, etc... that's good What is not good is that after I was satisfied with the amount of people I had want to find, I all of a sudden had more friends from high school than I actually had while I was in high school... Haven't used it in a long time especially now that the wife knows what it is.....

LOL at METintokyo,,,,,so true,,,although twitter is kinda like that too i think friends are people you actually physically talk to and actually care about you, not someone who checks your status, makes random comments on your photos or may or may not have sat in the same class at school etc technology is supposed to help you save time not waste time

Before I got rid of my FB account I had about 150 friends. Of these only 3 or 4 people were regularly updating their status - about 2.6%. I wonder if this can be extrapolated to the 500m supposed "users" on the site?

This GS valuation is way out of line I think.

yeah that GSachs stuff is just insane! I hope the speculators get their a$$es burned bigtime!

lol at 50 times overvalue, how else can FB show it's overpriced? Look desperate. Check

Damn, for some reason I can't log into my Facebook account, oh yeah, forgot, I don't have one,

But for those of you interested, I had bacon and eggs for breakfast (beans on the side) and after taking the dog for a shampoo will be meeting friends for lunch at some trendy place still to be decided.

Then after the requisite afternoon nap since it's my turn can't forget to order dinner.

Later we might go for a walk on the beach or talk about the latest romantic novels we've read recently, life is good. Stay tuned for tomorrow's update.

Let the boy billionaire roll swim breast strokes in his pool full of pennies. I have no desire to further enrich Facebook's freckled founder one red cent.

I think they started this yesterday and I'm waiting to see what they will look like. I do the check-ins and I hope they don't put up some tacky ads directly on my wall. It would be great if they gave discounts for your next visits after checking in.

Facebook what's that? Name for the latest E-Book/Tablet device? :P

Stay away as far as possible from that site and similar ilks.

Haahaahhaa what a bunch of fools if you use face book.

After Goldman Sachs valuated them $50 billion, Facebook will be desperate to raise revenue to show the GS valuation is not over priced.

Facebook = the ultimate data mining tool of the century

Both represent an effort to make advertisements more akin to what people are already experiencing on the site instead of putting up virtual billboards that users might ignore or find tacky.

Kind of like the ad's to the right that I ignore all the time.
