His experiences allow him to offer tips to other Japanese tech startups on how to succeed.

Born in Kyoto, Okada went to Canada to study in high school then moved on to Oregon State University in the United States where he got his first computer.

Like Kazuo Ishiguro who won Nobel Prize in Literature, he already left Japan from age of five. While this guy already left Japan starting from high school and continue abroad for his studies. If he still stay in Japan during those time he just might be another salaryman, like other product of Japanese education. Good for him to have chance abroad!
