Final refrain for iPod as Apple stops production

Sadly enough, mp3 technology made considerable harm to music industry (Copyright issues, etc). It's not a pleasant experience when people started sharing and downloading ART without any respect for the musician who maybe has spent long years to compose something highly refined?

Using your phone for all music just wears out your battery (which now cannot be replaced by the user). 

wait, we can't replace the battery?? since when?

the do-it-all iPhone would eat away at sales of one-trick devices such as iPod MP3 players.

Using your phone for all music just wears out your battery (which now cannot be replaced by the user). And my old Nano weighs next to nothing, so strapping it to my arm is way more comfortable than doing the same with my phone on a jog.

The main problem i see with smart phones (apart from their high prices) is the "it does everything"

So if (or more likely when) the smart phones fails due to battery failure (most likely due to age and lots of discharging and recharging), accident, thieft or something else.

You would lose the use of many things.

Still picture Camera, Video recorder, Music player, Video player, Phone calls, Texting, etc in one go.

So having an iPod just for music while jogging, resting on the beach or on a chair, etc would be handy.

Getting an I pod nano years ago changed the way you could listen to music.

An while the might be obsolete to some people they are still so useful.

Sad to see them go.

I have a the tiniest one in my school and the kids are fascinated by it.

The iPod Touches were like a giant leap for mankind,

Basically a music player that could access the Internet,send emails,do calculations,set alarms,play games and do pretty much what an iPhone can do today.

Apple was so awesome.

Like you said above, old iPhones can be used to do whatever an iPod can. There is nothing an iPod can do a iPhone can't. That's why they are obsolete.

I use old iPhones all over the house to watch movies and listen to music while cooking, taking a bath, in my work station etc. They should keep a smaller production of iPods as they are not obsolete at all.

I sold my ipod when I bought my iphone. good move by apple. just focus on making more iphones and ipads. ipods are obsolete.
