The firm announced in October it would team up with U.S. chip giant Nvidia to create "AI factories" -- powerful data-processing centers that would drive the production of next-generation products.

It has also sought to diversify its manufacturing supply chain beyond the mainland -- after production was hit by three years of strict Covid restrictions, a bout of industrial unrest and tensions with the United States.

In response to a question about the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming U.S. presidential election, Foxconn's CFO David Huang touted the company's "205 bases across 24 countries in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and South America".
