AI haves want to remain market based

AI have NOTS want to HIGHLY regulate

That's IT, self-interest, nothing NEW!

Imagine Us, China, Russia, etc., all agreeing "for sake of humanity to regulate weapons and weapons tech!!!"

Hell will freeze over before ABOVE ever happens, hence weapons proliferation & escalation FULL Speed Ahead!

Only three women ministers out of eighteen.

Shameful.

Nice picture. They look ready and willing. Bending low to uplift the lowly is a noble mission. Nations in the G-7 and G-20 are yet to do justice to their enormous potential in worldbuilding. All the best.

These people need to get a life, maybe they start thinking for themselves, only people threatened by AI are people who lack the ability to critical thinking

Love the CONFIDENCE, agree my man!

Look under HOOD, mainstream AI in news, not serious biz machine learning big data stuff, it's SELECTION BIAS, data sets to ACHIEVE THEIR OBJECTICVES.

SUPERCHARGED BRAIN/MIND Control, ultimate Political WEAPON, NOT needed in land of Consensus SHEEP

Why am I not surprised the GoTo talking points are the risks of AI and all that could go wrong? Typical mindset for those that aren’t excited about the incredible positive benefits this technology, if used correctly, can deliver. Hyper productivity, hyper efficiency, freeing humans from life sucking menial tasks, education that actually works, fakes exposed and retired once and for all, self serving bureaucracies no longer necessary. Hey, it could even give people some much needed breathing space to reconnect after the pandemic and start having relationships and babies! All the stuff these leaders have failed miserably to deliver.

Sure there’s some risks, but I am more excited about the possibilities. Bring on the AI evolution!

they say: "...AI...could create unexpected challenges to democracy..."

Governments are shtting bricks because they fear they won't be able to control AI. Even the musc person signed some manifesto to limit AI. Imagine AI advising on which form of GOV is best for the people, or how to best implement true free speech

I doubt any of them know the first thing about how tech works.

The more these people slow down and regulate, the more chances China has to get ahead.

Awa no Gaijin # It all depends on how we use it. The best minds in the world are working on a way to make this thing work for us and are quietly confident. The fear factor gets more attention. My point is if governments can’t move forward and make competent decisions due to entrenched infighting and self serving tendencies, AI can be a good ‘third party’ to help steer us out of the mess.

Glass half full or half empty issue. Be aware of the risks but also think of the possibilities.

Sure there are some risks, but there are many benefits with AI, which we see already replacing roles of medical professionals in certain areas.

Like when you mistakenly believed they could conduct cardiac examinations by themselves? Helping a medical professional to do their work is very different from replacing them.
