Hydrogen is a fuel of the future, not the present. Now that Biden is elected the US will also go green and GM needs EVs, the cars of the present.

I don't see it. The amount of energy required to extract hydrogen from other elements, and the pollution that energy creates makes fueling vehicles with hydrogen both hideously inefficient and a very high net polluter. And don't give me the song and dance about using "renewables" to generate the required energy. You can't base load a grid on renewables and you can't operate a hydrogen production facility or any kind of business intermittently when the sun is up and the wind is blowing. Producing hydrogen will require a steady supply of large amounts of electrical energy the supply of which is going to be polluting unless you use nuclear power and that has its own share of problems.
